US President Donald Trump has ordered the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats including 12 members of the mission to the United Nations. The White House says the expulsion is in response to the alleged nerve agent attack in Britain and accuses the diplomats of being spies. The US also ordered the closure of the Russian consulate in Seattle. European Council President Donald Tusk says 14 EU member states including Germany and France will also expel Russian diplomats.
