Tunisia Comic Con Convention: Tunis hosts international event for 3rd consecutive year

Comic Con conventions have been going on since the 1970s. The first event was held in San Francisco. Tunisians are organizing the international event for the 3rd consecutive year now. Many foreign guests from the world of TV series were welcomed in Tunis.

The 3rd edition of Comic Con Tunisia was organized at the Kram Exhibition Center in the North of the Capital city Tunis. Dozens of participants took part in the Cosplay competition. It is the practice of dressing up as favorite characters.

MARYAM SASSI COSPLAYER OF "NICO YAZAWA" "I'm living dream. The Japanese character Nico Yazawa is a symbol of beauty and talent at Comic Con. She's my idol."

Foreign artists highlighted the challenges facing costume designers who work for TV Shows, series and documentaries.

NATHALIA KOCHEKOVA RUSSIAN COSTUME DESIGNER "It requires special skills and special materials because costumes from TV shows and movies are usually very realistic."

ADEN CHAOUACHI TUNIS "For the first time ever in Tunisia, an exhibition of original Game of Thrones illustrations is organized in the presence of William Simpson; the main storyboarder of Game of Thrones, here at Comic Con Tunisia."

The artist answered dozens of questions from Game of Thrones fans who are impressed by the TV series and Simpson's extraordinary work.

WILLIAM SIMPSON STORYBOARD ARTIST, GAME OF THRONES "Game of Thrones has become this worldwide Phenomenon. It changes the face of what fantasy is. This was a believable fantasy. Another fact was that some people thought that was our history. This is actually crazy."

Egyptian multi-Award winning Actor/Producer of feature films, and theatrical director and Actor Khaled Abol Naga talked about his experience in Michael Hirst's History Channel series 'Vikings'. Abul Naga shed light on the difficulties he faced in mastering the ancient Viking language.

KHALED ABOL NAGA ACTOR, PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR, EGYPT "Michael Hirst wanted to make sure that all characters speak Old Norse which is the language of the Vikings and of course the show is in English so all the Vikings are speaking English. So how can he make it clear to the audience that this guy speaks the language? He makes him speak the language!"

Thousands of people of all ages have attended the 2018 edition of Comic Con. Many sponsors who have believed in the project have financed the workshops and gaming competitions. AC. CGTN. TUNIS.
