The ten people who died in a residential building fire in Tianjin in northern China on Friday have been identified, according to local authorities.
Nine of the ten were decoration workers while the tenth was a friend of one of the workers.
Another five suffered minor injuries and have been hospitalized.
The fire broke out on the 38th floor of the apartment building in the city's Hexi District at 4:07 a.m., according to the local fire department.
The fire was extinguished at 6:40 a.m. and firefighters said an area of about 300 square meters was damaged.
Officials told a news conference later in the day that decoration materials had caught fire, prompting the municipal government to order a citywide safety inspection.
They said suspects in the fire were being interrogated.
