China will further open up its markets to foreign investors as it looks to move from high-speed to high-quality growth, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) on Tuesday.
President Xi delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Boao Forum for Asia. The four-day event, themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity," is being held in southern China’s Hainan Province on April 8-11.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the implementation of reform and opening-up policies in China, which began in 1978, transforming the once impoverished nation into the world's second-largest economy.
