She might have haunted your dreams for nights after watching the horror movie she starred in, but now the demon-possessed Annabelle doll is giving the creeps to unruly subway commuters in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia's MRT and LRT operator RapidKL is putting the hair-raising puppet to good use by employing her to “haunt” passengers who behave impolitely while taking the subway. The campaign strategy aims to raise awareness about civilized behavior among the public.

A series of photos posted by RapidKL, which went viral on Facebook, show the eerie doll Annabelle taking a ride on the MRT and sitting at an MRT gate entrance.
The post was shared over 10,000 times, along with the spine-chilling caption: “Dear valued customers, lately we’ve been receiving surprise visits from Annabelle. Mind your manners while you’re on our trains or…she will haunt you FOREVER.”

“It is heartening (for us) to receive such feedback from the public and we believe this has generated so much awareness,” the train operator’s spokesman said in a statement to local newspaper New Straits Times.
“We hope that the public’s social etiquette will be improved, not only when using the public transportation but also when they use any public facilities,” the representative added.

The witty campaign started as a result of irresponsible commuters vandalizing the facilities at the new MRT stations, which were launched on July 17. Many netizens voiced their support for the company’s creative approach as they were entertained and educated on social etiquette.
The doll with her demonic face comes from a blood-curling movie with the same name. The latest instalment "Annabelle: Creation" is set to be released on August 11 in the United States.

As a prequel to 2014's Annabelle and the fourth part in the Conjuring film series, this year's instalment takes the audience back to where everything started, inside the house of a dollmaker, whose daughter had died years earlier, and who welcomes a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage to their home before events take a turn for the worse.
