China's Wang Zheng won the silver medal in women's hammer throw on Monday at the IAAF World Championships in London, winning the first medal China has ever won at the event.
"I really enjoyed this competition tonight. I gained confidence in the competition and I have a very good result," said the 29-year-old who finished the throw in 75.98 meters.
"I was hoping for more improvement but when I try to improve too hard, my technique is not good. I have to stay relaxed. I am confident that I will improve in the future. My technique was the only problem tonight," said the Asian record holder.
