President Xi meets NPC deputies from Chongqing

President Xi Jinping joined about 60 National People's Congress (NPC) deputies from southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, in their panel discussions on Saturday.
The President called for better Party building at the grassroots level. He urged officials to improve their knowledge of the law, and to persist in implementing the rule of law within their work. He also said the rule of law should be combined with the rule of virtue.
Meanwhile, President Xi highlighted the protection of the Yangtze River Economic Zone, and encouraged local companies to thrive and seek further development driven by innovation.
