The American Chamber of Commerce and the Center for China and Globalization released their annual reports on Thursday. CGTN took this chance to talk with representatives from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development as well as business insiders to hear their views on the trade tensions between China and the US.
POUL HANSEN, DIRECTOR UN CONFERENCE ON TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT "When two elephants fight, the grass will suffer. The trade war between trade giants will impact developing and least developed countries. It impacts economy much than the bigger trading countries."
DAN DI FILIPPO, PARTNER PWC CONSULTING HONG KONG "More (American) companies have reporting revenue growth than before but organizations will worry about what could happen."
MICHAEL KUAN, PRESIDENT CENTER FOR CHINA AND GLOBALIZATION, SHANGHAI "From capital point of view, stability is very important. The impact will be on currency situation, or investment climate, and the relationship between the two countries."
DAN KRASSENSTEIN, DIRECTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PROCON PACIFIC "China should do a better job of explaining, responses to the US. Donald Trump is an expert in public relations. Use social media in the US to explain to the US people that China is also a victim in this. China is too complicated. It's not simple to say that China can snap its finger and make changes. It's not as simple as people think it is."
