U.S. President Donald Trump might impose tariffs on 60 billion US dollars of Chinese imports, especially those from technology and telecommunications sectors. Reuters cited the news Tuesday from US website Politico. A source with direct knowledge of the Trump administration told Politico that the tariffs could come very soon, as they are associated with a "Section 301" intellectual property investigation started last August. The source also revealed that the tariffs would target information technology, consumer electronics and Telecom at first, and the list could eventually expand to 100 products. The White House has so far declined to comment on the move.
