The EU's lead negotiator Michel Barnier has held court at the EU's executive.
On the day the UK government unveiled the Great Repeal Bill that will end the supremacy of EU law in the UK, opposition and regional government figures have made their own moves in Brussels.
Barnier's lunchtime date on Thursday was Labour Party and opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn. Ahead of his meeting, Corbyn said that Labour was a government in waiting, ready to pick up the baton for Brexit negotiations. Barnier also met with Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, and Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Barnier showed growing frustration at the UK government for their lack of clarity, adding that the clock is ticking.
The current mood in the de facto EU capital makes for an interesting meeting for Brexit Secretary David Davis when the second round of official Brexit negotiations kick off in Brussels next Monday.
