Amid the official call for President Zuma's resignation, we got the views of some South Africans on whether it is indeed time for the 75-year-old to leave office after nearly nine years in power.
KEBOLOKILE MOROBISI SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZEN "Honestly, I think we've had enough of the whole corruption in South Africa and I think Zuma stepping down will really help us, you know, moving forward as a country. I think it's time for him to take a break and as much as Mugabe (Zimbabwe's former president Robert Mugabe) also, you know, served his country and Zuma has been here for nine years now. I would really like to say uBaba (Zuma) it's time for you to step down."
DEON NAICKER SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZEN "I really wouldn't say that I'm against it but I'm really hoping for change for the better, especially the economy if they could move away from junk status as well. The economy is really crashing at the moment, stability is really difficult. So yes, I guess South Africans in this generation are really hoping for better and let's see how it goes."
DAVID CHILEKA SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZEN "I think the law must take its course because he's got a lot of charges against him, so let the law take its course and yes, let's see how the verdicts going to come out."
