“This is all about China in the new era, it focus on global integration. China being the country to stand for globalization, moreover, it also means for an end to the cold war, protectionism, and one country bullying another, it’s really about common shared destiny of mankind with shared future,” Lawrence Brahm, founder and director of the Himalayan Consensus Institute spoke with CGTN, about what impressed him the most in President Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia annual conference.
Lawrence said that in Xi’s speech, he is addressing these factors through the programmatic execution of ambition, and putting real tangibles on the table, from financial sector reform to trade. More importantly it enforces environmental protectionism, lower carbon use, lower energy use and growth which are absolutely essential.
