President Donald Trump's proposed steel and aluminum tariffs could cost America hundreds of thousands jobs. That's according to a report by US consulting firm Trade Partnership.  

The report shows that the U.S. steel and aluminium sectors could add 33 thousand jobs because of the tariffs while industries that rely on steel and aluminium imports may lose as many as 180 thousand jobs. The report says that means the US could have a net loss of 146 thousand jobs. The repercussions could be even more wide-reaching as other countries may take retaliatory action against the U.S. The EU, Canada, France and Great Britain have already said that they would take counter measures.
