London Southend Airport hangar blaze under control

A huge fire reported at London Southend Airport in Essex on Wednesday has been brought under control, the Essex Fire Service said on Twitter.
Immediately after the fire broke out on Wednesday morning, pictures on social media showed thick plumes of smoke billowing above the airfield.
The fire service said there were no aircraft inside the hangar when the fire broke out.
There have been no reports of any injuries or casualties.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
