Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong has met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Seoul.  

During the meeting, Moon promised his country's full support of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, while expressing gratitude for China's support for the Pyeongchang Games. The meeting comes a day after the Presidential Blue House said that members of a high-level delegation from the DPRK, had said they were open to talks with the United States, during a visit for the closing ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Liu attended the closing ceremony as head of the Chinese government's delegation.
