'Summer Davos': Dalian summit to focus on new era of globalization

The Annual Meeting of the New Champions better known as the "Summer Davos" is part of the World Economic Forum. This year's meeting begins next Monday in Dalian. The gathering will focus on fundamental changes that are reshaping the global economy. Let's take a closer look.
More than 18 hundred leaders from government, business, civil society and academia will gather in Dalian on Monday for the World Economic Forum's New Champions annual meeting. This year's theme of "New era of globalization" is set to spur leaders to find new strategic models to adapt to the world's environmental challenges, regional competitions and economic disparities.
The WEF's chief representative officer for Greater China David Aikman said that China has significant examples to share with the world.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China as well as the 40th anniversary of engagement with the WEF. Leaders from China's national and regional levels said it will be a great opportunity to showcase the country's achievements.
