Mirabilite crystals, a rare natural phenomenon, have been spotted in and around a salt lake in Yuncheng, north China’s Shanxi Province. The mirabilite crystals take on a variety of weird and wonderful shapes, drawing visitors to take photos. According to the China Foto Press (CFP), mirabilite can only crystalize when the temperature reaches between minus five and minus ten degrees Celsius.
