The 7.3-magnitude earthquake ruined thousands of buildings on Sunday in Sarpol-e Zahab, Iran, leaving a huge burden on the locals to rebuild their hometown. People are still facing a shortage of goods and supplies, all while many victims still remain homeless. The government has announced they will provide funding to those who were badly affected by the earthquake. In Sulaimaniyah, Iraq, the rescue work continues. As the facilities in some local hospitals have been damaged, the medical work is mainly conducted by medics sent by the government and international organizations.
