The Yi community, one of the ethnic minorities in China, celebrated the seventh torch festival on Tuesday.
More than 100,000 people across the country gathered in the city of Liupanshui in southwest Guizhou Province to mark the event.
The celebrations, including traditional dances and solos,  were comprised of a variety of activities, reflecting the enthusiasm and hospitality of the local people.
To retain the original flavor of the torch festival, the performers used real fire effect and laser technique.
After the performance, all the locals and tourists flocked to the venue center, dancing around the bonfire in the form of a "dragon."
"It is my first time to have attended this torch festival. It is spectacular. I'm honored to be here. Very happy," said a tourist surnamed Bi.
The Torch Festival falls on the 24th day of the sixth lunar month.  During the festival, girls and boys carry torches made of pine trees and pray.
