The 21st Shanghai International Film Festival will kick off this year on June 16. Thursday evening, the festival announced the lineup of its upcoming movie screenings. Over a period of ten days, some 500 movies from home and abroad will be screened across the metropolis in East China. Take a look.
The Shanghai Film Festival's exhibition will run from June the 16th to the 25th. Over the ten days, 45 movie theaters will present some 500 productions from China and around the world. Totaling more than 1500 screenings, the 30-plus themed programs will include Homage to the Masters, Official Recommendations, Belt and Road Week, and 40th Anniversary of China's Reform and Opening Up.

This year's film exhibition also promises to make breakthroughs in freshness and academic quality. The program themed British Women's Literature and Asian Contemporary Authors will focus on the diversifying interests of Chinese moviegoers.
In the technological aspect, the Dolby Realm program will introduce audiences to the latest audio technologies. Its version of Titanic with souped-up audio effects has won praises from James Cameroon. Starting Saturday, the tickets will be available both at the box office and through online vendors.
