Drinking contest in Qingdao Beer Festival enthralls visitors

Ice cold beer by the beach — now that sounds like a night.
The 2017 Qingdao International Beer Festival brought a great bout of fun to visitors and local residents in Qingdao City of east China's Shandong Province.
The most exciting part of the festival was definitely the beer drinking contest. Events like bottle drinking, large jug drinking and one-minute fast drinking attracted many to show off their drinking capacity.
Zhang Senxue, the champion of the 2009 beer drinking contest, also participated this time round. He confidently signed up for all three events and finished the bottle drinking event, clocking at just 5.67 seconds.
The semi-finals of the contest is scheduled for Aug. 23, and the finals for Aug. 25.
The top three winners will receive awards of 30,000 yuan, 20,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan, respectively.
