China's Ding Junhui eased through the first round against his compatriot Zhang Anda, and the country's top player swept past another PRC potter in Xiao Guodong 5-0, for a spot in the third round at the World Open in Yushan County, east China's Jiangxi Province.
Xiao opened with 22 points in the third frame but missed a long red. Ding pocketed a break of 72 to take a 3-0 lead in the best of 9 encounter.
The Star of the East got on a roll in the following frame, and a match high break of 90 made it 4-0.
In his first two matches, Ding's form fluctuated at the end, but there were no such wobbles later on as the former world Number One took the fifth frame 63-10 to sweep Xiao 5-0 and reached the third round, where he will face England's Joe Perry.

China's Cao Yupeng faced former world champion Stuart Bingham in the second round. Cao seemed below his best as he was trailed by 21 at the end of the first frame and couldn't pot an easy green.
But Cao turned the tables on Bingham, beating him 5-4 ultimately. Cao will face Luca Brecel from Belgium in the third round.
