Let's move to trade friction between the US and European Union. US President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to impose tariffs on auto and auto parts imports based on national security issues. European Commission Vice-President Jyrki Katainen said that reasoning is hard to understand.
JYRKI KATAINEN, VICE PRESIDENT, EUROPEAN COMMISSION "If now (the) US would unilaterally raise car tariffs, for instance, it obviously would be against the WTO and it's very difficult to imagine it to create any sort of threat to the national security, so it's very difficult to understand, but we have now just read what has been said and there's a long journey to the practice."
