Over to the NBA, where the Washington Wizards seem to be doing okay, without the services of John Wall. The Wiz 9-3 since losing the all-star to a knee injury, and part of the reason for that record has been the play of his all-star backcourt mate Bradley Beal, who was on target as Team DC travelled to take on the Milwaukee Bucks.
And the visitors get off to a quick start -- Beal hitting the triple as the almost Bullets score the first 14 points of the game. The hosts try and stay close, as Jabari Parker nails the long-ball as the lead is down to 12.  Giannis Antentokounmpo also trying to keep his team in it. The Bucks trim the margin down to just a deuce as Eric Bledsoe dials long distance. He had 17.
Off to the final Q, and Kelly Oubre gets the emphatic three-point play to make it a six-point game. The Wiz hold on for a 3-point win 107-104.
In other action, Damian Lillard and Portland hosting Sacramento. Dame Dolla making moves on the perimeter and double clutches just before the end of the first Q. 10-point lead for his team.
The hosts trying to pick up their fourth straight win and extends the lead off the creative dish from Lillard to Al-Farouq Aminu for 3-pointer. The lead is up to 16.
The Kings cut into the deficit, as veteran Zach Randolph gets the running left-handed hook to fall, the lead is down to 7.
Rip City though go on another run in the third, as Lillard is left open from outside the arc. 26 for Dame Dolla and the lead is back up to double digits.
Team royalty make a charge in the fourth to stay close -- Buddy Hield hitting the mid-range jumper and it is now just a 6-point game.
But the Blazers make the plays down the stretch, C-J McCollum curls into the lane and hits the jumper, opening up a 17- point margin, as they cruise to their fourth straight triumph.
In other games, LeBron James picks up his 8-thousandth career assist in a win over Brooklyn. And is the first player in NBA history with 30-thousand points, 8-thousand rebounds, and 8-thousand assists. Charlotte picks up their fifth straight win. Dwyane Wade hit the winning jumper in Miami's win over Philly. The Clippers outscore Denver.
