South Korean President Moon Jae-in has discussed with US President Donald Trump the recent visits by high-level DPRK officials to South Korea.
In a telephone conversation on Thursday, Moon said he will dispatch a special envoy in the near future to the DPRK. Moon and Trump also agreed to continue efforts to maintain dialogue between South Korea and the DPRK, with the goal of denuclearization. In February, Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of DPRK leader Kim Jong Un, was in South Korea for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. She met President Moon and conveyed to him her brother's invitation to visit Pyongyang.
