Russian President Vladimir Putin has observed joint military exercises between his country and Belarus at the Luzhsky training ground near St. Petersburg, around 100 kilometers east from the Estonian border. The large-scale joint military drill, that has spooked some Western countries, has entered its final phase with helicopters, fighter jets, missiles and tanks deployed to a firing range close to Russia’s border with the EU.
