About 4,000 Myanmar residents have fled across the border to China, according to AFP. Many of the refugees were staying in temporary shelters before crossing into China. CGTN spoke with Lahpai Tu Shan, a missionary in the border region. He is now in Yingjiang county in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, bordering the Kachin State in Myanmar, and works closely with refugees on both sides of the border.
