Syria Conflict: Turkey rejects offer for France mediation with Kurdish militia
[]
Turkey on Friday turned down an offer for France to mediate talks with Kurdish militia, the Syrian Democratic Forces.
Ankara considers the militia to be a terrorist group and rejected the offer because it will not communicate with terrorist organizations. Turkey also demanded France to take a clear stance against all forms of terrorism. France, as well as Turkey's NATO ally, the United States, sees the Kurdish militia as a key force in the fight against Islamic jihadists in Syria.
