The UN on Wednesday criticized the US Government's handling of the recent violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. Speaking in Geneva, Anastasia Crickley, the chairperson of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD), called on US President Donald Trump to "unequivocally and unconditionally" reject and condemn racist hate speech and crimes in Charlottesville and throughout the country.
