Thai food, with its profusion of exotic flavors and aromatic components, has become one of the most popular international cuisines in China. In Kunming City in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, a Thai cuisine restaurant has gained a reputation for making authentic Thai dishes, and even Thai people love to visit when they miss the taste of home.
“It's better than my wife’s cooking,” Rien Loveemongkol, dean of Chiang Mai University’s language institute joked, “but, please don’t tell my wife.”

What’s the secret recipe of the restaurant’s success?
Li Yan, owner of Yaohuali, believed that authentic ingredients and good chefs are key, while innovation and respect for Thai culture have made his restaurant stand out.
