The 19th CPC National Congress concluded with a new Central Committee elected on Tuesday in Beijing. The 2,336 Party delegates also elected alternate members of the CPC Central Committee and a new Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI). Delegates reviewed and passed resolutions on the report of the previous Central Committee and a work report of the previous CCDI. Delegates approved an amendment to the CPC Constitution, which enshrined "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" as part of the Party's guide to action.
