Ivanka Trump, US President Donald Trump's daughter and senior White House adviser, has met South Korean President Moon Jae-in. During a closed-door meeting, Moon said South Korea cannot acknowledge the DPRK as a nuclear state. He said talks with Pyongyang on denuclearization and improving inter-Korean relations, should go hand-in-hand. Moon also said close cooperation between the US and South Korea is important for the talks. Ivanka Trump said the US is seeking to reaffirm its commitment to a maximum pressure campaign to ensure that the Korean Peninsula is denuclearized. She is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Senior DPRK official Kim Yong Chol will also be there.
