At least 13 killed after boat capsizes in Pakistan

At least 13 passengers were killed after a boat capsized near Thatta in Pakistan's southern Sindh Province on Thursday afternoon, local media reported.
There were at least 60 people on board when the accident took place, however the capacity of the boat is for less than 50 people.
These people were pilgrims on their way to partake in the annual festival of a local saint whose shrine is located on a small island in the Arabian Sea near Thatta district in the province.
So far, 20 people have been saved by rescue teams and local residents rushed to the scene following the accident.
The police said that, besides for the overload of people, strong winds caused the accident to happen.
A search-and-rescue operation is underway.
