US initiates antidumping duty and countervailing duty investigations on steel wheels from China

US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced Tuesday the initiation of new antidumping duty and countervailing duty investigations on steel wheel products from China, Reuters reported.

Ross stated that the US Department of Commerce will act quickly to conduct a comprehensive and fair assessment of relevant facts to ensure that American companies and workers have equal opportunities for competition.

The department also stated that the launch of this “double counter” investigation was a response to the complaints filed by the two US companies on March 27.
