Eleven Chinese tourists injured in car crash in Thailand

Eleven Chinese tourists were injured, five of whom seriously, in a road accident near Chiang Mia, northern Thailand, on Sunday.
The incident happened at 4:30 p.m. local time at Doi Saket district, eastern Chiang Mai, when a mini bus they were taking collided with a truck on the highway from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai.
Seven of the injured are from east China's Zhejiang Province while the other four are from south China's Guangdong Province.
The Chinese Consulate General in Chiang Mai has been notified by local police and visited the victims in the hospital.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
