World’s Premier Electronic Music Festival, Ultra Music Festival will open in Shanghai for the first time in September, which will be the latest sign that China is embracing EDM.
It will have big names like Armin Van Buuren, CarlCox, The Chainsmokers, Dubfire, and more.
In October 2016, 30,000 people attended China's home grown EDM music festival Storm, which more than doubles the previous year.
With 385 million people in China aged between 18 to 35, could EDM be about to become even bigger?
