British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson met with Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar's capital to press for action on the Rohingya crisis.
According to Myanmar's foreign ministry, Johnson and Suu Kyi discussed the latest developments in Rakhine state in an open and friendly manner, including planning for the reception for those who fled. Johnson said he would also discuss two Reuters journalists, who were detained in Myanmar in December. The meeting followed Johnson's visit to a refugee camp in Bangladesh, where nearly 690,000 Rohingya have fled Myanmar's Rakhine state and crossed into southern Bangladesh.
