Russia and Saudi Arabia have discussed ways to establish de-escalation zones in Syria.
Following a meeting in Riyadh with his counterpart Adel al-Jubeir, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called for unity.
He said Arab countries in the diplomatic dispute with Qatar should speak directly with Doha.
Lavrov said a solution involves rejecting terrorism, an end to harboring wanted people and a stop to interfering in other countries' affairs.
In June, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt cut ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorist groups.
Doha has denied all the allegations.
