The foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is visiting Moscow - calling for stronger relations between his country and Russia.
RI YONG HO DPRK FOREIGN MINISTER "We believe that the current situation on the Korean Peninsula, the situation around Russia, and the general international political situation means our two countries need stronger and more friendly relations, we need to build up strategic communication and coordinate actions between our two countries."
Ri Yong Ho spoke alongside Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, before discussing the DPRK's nuclear program and its latest developments with Seoul and Washington. Lavrov said Russia welcomes the inter-Korea summit, scheduled for later this month and agreed to visit Pyongyang.
