China will focus on the high-end manufacturing sectors when improving the quality of its leading state-owned enterprises (SOEs), said Xiao Yaqing, Chairman of SASAC, while meeting global media during the current NPC session in Beijing on Saturday. He noted that, of the world's 500 biggest companies in 2017, 48 are China's centrally-owned SOEs.
