US President Donald Trump will not visit the demilitarized zone (DMZ) on the border of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) during his Asia tour, a senior administration official said on Tuesday.

"The president is not going to visit the DMZ. There is not enough time," the official told reporters in a background briefing.

Trump will travel to Japan, the ROK, China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Hawaii on November 3-14.
