"China has led the way in slashing taxes and fees by different measures," Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Monday, adding that the government has extended the value-added tax (VAT) system to all sectors, replacing the 66-year-old business tax scheme. Li made the remarks while delivering the annual government work report to lawmakers during the opening meeting of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), China's national legislature.
