Suspicious device found at shopping area in Stevenage, UK

A suspicious device was found at shopping area in Stevenage, some 44 kilometers north of London, on Wednesday, local media reported.

A photograph of a paper coffee cup with electronic wires and tape circulating on social media sparked concern among locals who alerted the police.

The area has been evacuated and bomb disposal officers were deployed to the scene.

Officers have asked locals to avoid the area.
