Former NBA players Tywon Lawson and Donatas Motiejunas will become CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) teammates, as they have signed with the CBA Shandong Golden Stars, according to a statement from the club on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Lawson started his NBA career with Denver Nuggets in 2009. After six seasons in Denver, Lawson spent his time with the Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, and Sacramento Kings. Lawson averaged 12.7 points, 6 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game in his NBA time.
Lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas averaged 7.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game of his 5-year NBA experiences.
Lawson and Motiejunas played as teammates in Houston, and now they will play together again in China. Another former Rockets, Luis Scola earlier joined CBA Shanxi.
