Aviation authorities in Iran have been unable to confirm reports that the wreckage of a missing plane has been found in the country's central region.
Earlier, an official of the province, where the crash was reported to have taken place, was quoted by state media saying the plane had been found. The aircraft had 66 people on board. Iran's Civil Aviation Organization says it hasn't confirmed the discovery of the wreckage. Iran has asked European countries and China to help the search with satellite imagery. The Aseman Airlines flight from Tehran disappeared from radar screens on Sunday, 50 minutes into its journey to the southwestern city of Yasuj.
