The first China International Import Expo will kick off on Monday in Shanghai. All kinds of businesses from over 130 countries and regions will be there looking for a share of the massive Chinese market.

CCTV sat down with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic who said the Expo is a chance for the world to better understand China.

ANDREJ PLENKOVIC CROATIAN PRIME MINISTER "First of all, it is a great pleasure to be in the position to lead the Croatian delegation to China to visit Beijing, to visit Hangzhou, to visit Shanghai. Especially in the context of this very important import expo. I think it's an excellent opportunity for Croatia to learn a little bit more about China today. To be able to take the benefit from the economic opening of China, its economic growth and potentials that could increase our mutual trade relations but also the new technologies which China is developing."

"For the global economy, we would like to see that the global trade is basically organized within the multilateral forum such as the WTO, it is the best way."
