Mexico is one of the surprise success stories at the World Cup, after beating Germany in their opening match. The team has also won over many Russian fans with their huge parties. As the team prepares to face Brazil on Monday, their fans are recreating Mexico's most famous festival in Moscow. CGTN's Lucy Taylor reports.
LUCY TAYLOR MOSCOW They have been the most conspicuous fans at this World Cup. If you have been following any of the action in Russia, you will have seen the sombreros, flags, music and dancing. And it has meant that many Russians here in Moscow have adopted Mexico as their second team. This is the Mexican Fan House, which has been the center of the party over the last few weeks. They have opened their doors to all nationalities during the World Cup. But this is the Day of the Dead celebration - recreating Mexico's most famous carnival celebrations.
Of course, Mexicans really do have something to celebrate in the World Cup, first beating the champions Germany and then South Korea to qualify second in their group.
It may have all been fun and games so far but with the team preparing to face Brazil on Monday - in football terms, this is where it becomes "sudden death". Lucy Taylor, CGTN, Moscow.
