“China has raised subsistence allowances and benefits for entitled groups, ensuring the livelihood of nearly 60 million people on subsistence allowances or living in extreme poverty,” Premier Li Keqiang said while delivering the government work report at the opening meeting of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress. Li also said that the country has slashed the share of coal consumption by 8.1 percentage points and increased that of clean energy consumption by 6.3 percentage points.
