China allocates another 80 million yuan to floods-hit area

China has allocated 80 million yuan (11.76 million US dollars) to south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for disaster relief following deadly rains and floods.
Torrential rain has submerged over 13 cities in this region over the past few days, with floods damaging crops and forcing hundreds of thousands to evacuate from their homes.

At least 20 people were killed in the disaster and 14 others are still unaccounted for, as of Wednesday afternoon. Over 1.7 million people have been affected.
Previously, the Chinese government disbursed 700 million yuan (103 million US dollars) in emergency aid to four flood-hit provinces – Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan and Guizhou.
