The 30th Arab Summit has kicked off in Tunis. The meetings began on Sunday where a statement resolutely opposing the United States' position on Jerusalem and the Golan Heights was issued. Heads of Arab States, delegations and representatives of international organizations are attending the summit. The focus this year is on willingness and solidarity. Adnen Chaouachi reports.
Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi said that challenges and threats facing the Arab region cannot be solved separately. He urged Arab leaders to reinforce confidence and co-operation between them.

The Arab League slammed US moves to undermine Syria's sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
AHMED ABOUL GHEIT SECRETARY-GENERAL, ARAB LEAGUE "We jointly condemn US recognition of Israeli control over the Golan Heights. This decision will only escalate tension in the region. The Golan Heights are Syrian occupied lands."
Participants agreed on the importance of a political agreement and peace settlement in Libya under the auspices of the Arab League, the UN, the African Union and the EU.

Arab leaders called for a firm determination to identify the causes of the failures in the Arab joint action, which will help Arab states unify their vision and re-classify the priorities.
